March 14, 2025<\/em> \u2013 The Thailand Environment Institute (TEI), in collaboration with BP Stationery Co., Ltd., held a ceremony to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on promoting the Green Supply Chain and Eco-Labeled Products. In conjunction, a training session titled \u201cGreen Label: Advancing Towards a Sustainable Future through Choosing Environmentally Friendly Products\u201d was organized. The training aimed to equip entrepreneurs within the BP Stationery platform with knowledge on various eco-label types, cost-reduction strategies, and the business opportunities that come with obtaining Green and Environmental Label certifications.<\/p>\n

Dr. Chatree Phurat, Director of the Green and Environmental Label Division at TEI, commented on the collaboration:
\u201cAs the secretariat of the Green and Environmental Label Policy Committee and the Subcommittee on Promoting Green Procurement for public goods and services, TEI plays a pivotal role in fostering sustainable production and consumption. Our joint efforts reflect a shared commitment to integrating expertise on environmentally friendly production and consumption with the distribution of office supplies. This collaboration not only benefits our business partners but also supports policies aimed at sustainable production and consumption, ultimately contributing to the reduction of national greenhouse gas emissions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ms. Chanathorn Sukprasert, Managing Director of BP Stationery Co., Ltd., stated:
\u201cAs an organization that distributes stationery, office equipment, and consumer goods to various businesses and industries, BP is aware of the environmental impacts stemming from the product choices made by businesses. We, therefore, prioritize offering eco-friendly products and providing accurate information to our customers in support of Green Procurement \u2013 the approach to purchasing goods and services that takes environmental considerations into account.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition, a training session titled \u201cGreen Label: Advancing Towards a Sustainable Future through Choosing Environmentally Friendly Products\u201d was conducted. The session featured Dr. Thanomlap Ratchawat, Acting Manager of the Green and Environmental Label Division, and Khun Kanokwan Dongkanja, Senior Project Officer, as speakers. The training was attended by 120 representatives from interested companies.<\/p>\n

This collaboration between TEI and BP will help propel eco-labeled products across all categories onto BP\u2019s list of environmentally friendly products. It will also support companies in obtaining eco-label certification while promoting the Green Supply Chain and Green Procurement. These efforts aim to foster the production of environmentally friendly products and facilitate consumer access to information, making it easier to select products that are good for the environment.<\/p>\n
